Green Business

Environmental Business Cluster

Description:

This is Silicon Valley so therefore 'green business' means entrepreneurs doing startup companies.

The Environmental Business Cluster (EBC) is a nonprofit technology commercialization center created to assist early stage for-profit companies developing products or services that will have a positive impact on the environment. The Environmental Business Cluster was created to minimize the costs associated with starting a business, improve the chances for success and increase the linkages between emerging companies and established businesses, universities and professionals in the field.

The EBC and the City of San Jose are establishing the first facility in the United States to focus on the design and development of alternative fuels and hybrid commercial vehicles that meet homeland security needs. The Electronic Transportation Development Center (ETDC) will be a place where established and early-stage companies will focus on the design, development, commercialization, and prototype manufacturing of alternate fuel and hybrid electric and gas commercial vehicles that also meet homeland security needs.
